Openline is founded in Milan in 1992 and is concerned with cabling for data transmissions and telephonic transmission, although many other fiber optic applications are already on the company’s curriculum.

In the years to come, the increasing demand for specialised optical connectivity leads the company to dedicate its resources to this sector, which has great potential but commitment and a considerable financial investment. The first accessories and ready to use cabling solutions are made available.

Openline becomes a limited company and changes its name to Openline Fiberoptic. The company purchases a large production area just outside of Milano, in Peschiera Borromeo, and moves the business there. The product and services offer continues to flourish.

Easy Line System: new version of pre-connectorised cables is developed. It is a huge success.

Openline Fiberoptic is awarded UNI EN ISO9002; 1994 certification and the company flourishes in the internet boom. The company then has to manage a post new economy crisis results in a re-structuring and relaunch of the company.

A new development phase requires the transfer of the company to a new 1000 sqm facility.

Multi Line System, a ready to use cabling solution for data centers based on MPO connections, is put into production.

Openline Fiberoptic opens itself up to the international market, participating for the first time as an exhibitor at the international fair ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communication), exposing its products and services to overseas companies.

Openline presents the innovative High Density cabling system for Data Center 40 and 100 Gb, known as HDG. This is a new milestone in product development for Data Communications and Enterprise Network.
